Dr. Lisa is an assistant professor of school psychology. She is also licensed psychologist and licensed specialist in school psychologist, and spent seven years as a school psychologist in an urban school district before taking this position in 2019. She started her career as a bilingual elementary classroom teacher, and then went to graduate school to learn more about how to make an impact on students and schools. Dr. Lisa's goal is to support schools in providing mental health supports for diverse students, particularly immigrants and English learners, and to improve the training of school psychologists who want to work with these populations.
